As each project develops and gains experience, they are able to provide nuclear colonies for sale to new projects just starting out. This provides additional income for the established projects and allows the new projects to colonise their new hives quickly.
Smoker and airtight buckets: £12.00
African bees tend to be aggressive, and a smoker is an essential piece of equipment for the beekeepers to help control the bees. The smokers are made in Uganda. We also supply plastic airtight buckets to the farmers for transporting honey when harvested.

Protective Clothing: £30.00
Protection for the beekeepers is essential when managing African bees. Our suits, complete with veil, are all made by Ugandan tailors.
Beehive: £35.00
The hives are made in Uganda by local carpenters from renewable timber resources. Each hive is numbered for tracking and monitoring.

Training: £45.00
Two people are trained for every 20 hives distributed. A basic 6-day residential training course is provided, which focuses on practical beekeeping in the apiary and the role of pollination relevant to the location of the farmers.
